Meet Anthony
I am happy to announce my candidacy for the office of Vernon mayor in the upcoming municipal election on November 7th. I'm a Republican conservative born in Queens, NY, and grew up in Staten Island, NY. I graduated from New Dorp High School. After graduation, I attended Staten Island Community College, majoring in Computer Science and Business Administration. I moved into our family vacation home in Highland Lakes after my experience during the tragic events on 9/11 while working at 7WTC. Since then, I have called Vernon my home and raised my three children, Marissa, Jessica & Anthony, who all attended and graduated from the Vernon schools. As a former business owner, I have been involved in the community and understand small businesses' unique challenges.
Before becoming a local business owner, I spent 25 years in the corporate technology sector, working for Citibank and JPMorgan Chase. At Citibank, I managed a team of systems administrators and was soon promoted to VP of the technical integration team, responsible for all Citi acquisitions. After leaving Citibank in 2014, I joined JP Morgan Chase as an engineer. , I soon became the VP of the Database management team, managing a global team of diverse DBAs delivering the most complex systems and solutions to all businesses. I have received several awards for performance and achievements throughout my career.
My extensive global management experience working in some of the most influential companies in the world, untangling extremely complex issues combined with being a local homeowner and former business owner, gives me a unique perspective and a solid foundation to help guide Vernon towards a bright and prosperous future. As your mayor, I promise to listen to your concerns and work tirelessly to improve the lives of our citizens and make Vernon a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
